On and POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) have built their partnership around making technical sportswear look as though it belongs in a contemporary art archive, and their latest chapter pushes that idea even further. The Swiss performance label and the South Korean design collective have unveiled ‘Current Form 4.0,’ a collaborative capsule that explores the physical and mental intensity of running through the life cycle of a moth emerging from its cocoon.

At the heart of the collection sits the Cloudboom Volt PAF, a racing silhouette that swaps a conventional upper for an intricate network of layered overlays inspired by the moment a cocoon fractures open during metamorphosis. Beneath PAF’s signature asymmetric construction lies On’s performance engineering, pairing a responsive Helion™ superfoam midsole with a lightweight woven and mesh upper for maximum breathability. Available in white/gale and ember/pebble, the shoe feels just as convincing beneath relaxed tailoring as it does crossing a finish line.

The footwear launch is supported by a full system of featherweight technical apparel that has been thoroughly re-engineered through PAF’s signature deconstructed blueprint. Wind-resistant Zero Jackets, breathable singlets, heavily panelled 2-in-1 shorts and running caps all get the crinkled, asymmetric treatment – detailing that has defined the Seoul label since Dongjoon Lim and Sookyo Jeong founded the brand in 2018.

Director Theodor Guelat and photographer Zachary Handley translate the collection’s concept into a dreamlike campaign built around the phrase ‘Chase Stillness,’ capturing runners suspended somewhere between stillness and transformation.
