Marco Tomasetta continues to treat leather as an extension of the written word. For Autumn/Winter 2026, Montblanc expands its leather universe with a collection shaped by softer constructions, earthy colourways and an increasingly fluid approach to travel, work and everyday life.

This season manifests as the continued evolution of the Writing Traveler line – Tomasetta’s ongoing exploration of the relationship between craftsmanship and the rituals of writing. Inspired by the idea of a travelling cabinet of curiosities, the collection introduces new companions built around thoughtful organisation. The Writing Traveler Briefcase returns in rich bauxite corteccia sfumato leather alongside classic black grain leather, joined by compact crossbody styles complete with dedicated compartments for devices, cables, notebooks and everyday essentials.

Concurrently, the carbon-fibre-inspired Extreme line undergoes a major shift. Known for its bold geometric motif, the signature pattern is reimagined this season in smooth calfskin, softening its graphic character while retaining its recognisable identity. Relaxed Panorama backpacks, available in multiple sizes, and Companion On-Body bags now prioritise ergonomic comfort.

Texture plays an equally important role elsewhere. Plush suede introduces a richer tactility across new Envelope totes, backpacks and weekend bags, rendered in deep ebony, forged iron and warm honey tones. Practical details include magnetic exterior pockets, pen loops, dedicated eyewear compartments and generous interiors.

For travellers seeking lighter alternatives, Montblanc also expands its technical fabric offering. Water-repellent Panorama crossbody bags and belt bags arrive in honey, khaki and bauxite colourways, trimmed with leather accents that elevate their utilitarian construction without compromising performance.

The design ecosystem extends onto the workspace through the ‘Art of the Desk’ collection, which introduces suede note holders and sculptural Arpeggio trays to coordinate writing instruments and leather accessories within a single creative layout.

Together, the collection reflects Tomasetta’s increasingly holistic vision for the Maison, where writing instruments, leather goods and travel companions exist as part of the same creative ecosystem, connected through craftsmanship, purpose and enduring design.
