lucid motors | the seven suite experience

Berlin usually saves its most dramatic welcomes for cinematic icons, but this time, the Tempodrom played host to a different kind of leading light. Lucid arrived in the German capital to prove that electric motoring can possess a soul. Instead of hosting a standard press event, the brand curated a live experience called ‘The Seven Suite.’

The Californian company began its journey back in 2007 as a battery technology specialist named Atieva, founded by veterans from Tesla and Mazda who wanted to rethink the very nature of energy. Today, they operate out of a high-tech headquarters in Newark, Silicon Valley, with a mission to push the boundaries of efficiency. Their breakthrough came with the Lucid Air, a sedan that recently clinched a world-first with its Sapphire edition, a car packing a staggering 1,234 horsepower.

For the event, seven Lucid Gravity SUVs were arranged in a perfect circle beneath the jagged roof of the arena. This latest model is the brand’s first foray into the luxury SUV market, offering space for seven adults and a driving range of up to 450 miles. It shares the same advanced powertrain technology that allows Lucid to travel further than its rivals while using smaller, lighter batteries.

Fourteen prominent figures from the European film scene, including stars like Diane Kruger, Emilia Schüle, Langston Uibel and Alexander Fehling, took their places inside the front trunks of the vehicles. This part of the car, often called a ‘frunk,’ became the private viewing box for the main performance. Award-winning composer Uèle Lamore led a live ensemble through seven movements of a score designed to swell through the vast arena. Her music sat between the precision of a classical orchestra and the energy of modern electronic sounds.

“At Lucid, we design experiences that move people,” said Lawrence Hamilton, President of Europe at Lucid. “The Seven Suite captures the essence of what drives us – transforming advanced technology into something deeply human. It’s not about spectacle, but about connection: how sound, light, and motion can make innovation tangible and emotion unmistakable.”

More than three hundred guests from the worlds of culture and business gathered to watch the suite unfold from different angles. This setup allowed the audience to see the cars as places for connection rather than just transport.

Lucid is already well known for its technical partnerships, including a deal to supply electric powertrain systems to the luxury British brand Aston Martin. The brand is using this event to start a new conversation in Europe about how we move and how we experience space.
