SOREL.

Heavy snowstorms and frozen conditions call for clunky, calf-high boots, but a completely unexpected silhouette shift has entered the modern seasonal wardrobe. SOREL has chosen the eve of its 65th anniversary year to introduce the Ambler, an all-weather waterproof clog designed for year-round styling.

The new shape steps away from frozen fields, presenting an open-back profile that protects against rain while feeling far removed from the traditional winter boot. Its design takes the thick, vulcanised rubber protection of the brand’s iconic Caribou, first created in 1962, and condenses that cold-weather essence into a much lighter, slip-on silhouette.

“We took a heavyweight vulcanised rubber boot originally designed for harsh Canadian winters and translated it into a lightweight cushy mule,” explains Michael Minter, SOREL’s Vice President of Brand. “It still offers category-defying waterproof protection and a level of dress-up-or-down styling versatility that our competitors haven’t been able to.”

Underneath the streamlined shape, the Ambler keeps its practical credentials intact. The Ambler WP combines a nubuck upper with a leather shell, textile lining and an EVA midsole, while the waterproof construction is designed to handle the sudden downpour that can turn a five-minute walk into an unwanted swimming lesson.

The wider Ambler family expands that idea through different materials and finishes. The premium Ambler LX pushes the silhouette into full-grain leather, while the Ambler Fireside adds a softer, cosier treatment for colder days. The Autumn launch also comes in a selection of seasonal shades, including stone green, iced tea, bleached ceramic and classic black.

Classics never go out of style and Dr. Martens has decided that one of its biggest recent footwear hits deserves another lap around the block. After its debut quickly found a following among people with a healthy appreciation for chunky shoes and a distinctly unhealthy relationship with the 1990s, the Buzz sole is back for Autumn/Winter 2026 with more texture, more colour and absolutely no interest in blending into the background.

Inspired by the oversized footwear that filled Dr. Martens’ 1990s archive, the Buzz sole has become one of the brand’s newer signatures thanks to its inflated, barrel-edged shape. The construction keeps plenty of familiar Doc’s distinctive features intact, from the air-cushioned sole and yellow welt stitching to the grooved edges and a leaf-patterned undersole, while the arc-shaped waist gives the whole thing a slightly more exaggerated profile.

For AW26, the franchise expands again through a mix of new heights, leathers and finishes. Leading the collection is the Buzz Hi in Milled Gloss Brown, a high-top version that takes the already substantial silhouette and gives it a richer, more refined finish. Milled Gloss is a full-grain leather with a high-shine surface, adding a slightly smarter edge to a boot whose sole is very much still having a party.

Alongside it comes the Buzz 5-Eye in Shine Croc Emboss Oxblood, bringing a textured crocodile effect to the lower-cut silhouette. The Buzz Hi Croc Emboss continues the same embossed treatment at a higher proportion, while the Buzz 6-Eye in black Wyoming leather introduces another take on the platform franchise. The original Buzz design has already appeared in everything from classic leather and leopard-print hair-on finishes to mixed-material constructions and calf-length boots. The sole remains the unchanged element: chunky, air-cushioned and with an unmistakable silhouette.

The new collection arrives as Dr. Martens continues to stretch its classic footwear language beyond the familiar 1460 boot and 1461 shoe. Previous additions include the Buzz Strap Wyoming, a utilitarian velcro adaptation, alongside the Buzz Ballerina Gloss Leather, a subverted take that combines a dainty Mary Jane upper with the signature heavy sole tread. For colder months, the line-up includes the Buzz Lace Up Faux Fur Lined boot for winterised utility, alongside the rugged Buzz Boxer Mixed Material mid-calf hybrid. The leather texture directory has also been updated with heavily grained Buzz 5-Eye Grizzly and Crazy Horse finishes, alongside textural statement pieces like the Dalmatian Hair On leather styles. To coordinate the collection, a Top Handle Croc Emboss Leather Bag drops in a matching rich burgundy hue.

Mert & Marcus for ALO.

Following Bella Hadid’s turn in front of the camera, ALO is now handing the spotlight to Kylie Jenner – although, in this case, that’s what she is trying to escape from. Jenner has practically grown up in front of a lens, constantly watched, photographed and admired, so making a campaign centred on the moments when nobody is looking makes for a fairly unexpected next move. The entrepreneur, beauty mogul and permanently online cultural phenomenon becomes the latest face of ALO in a new campaign exploring the more intimate rituals that exist behind the scenes.

This is also a different type of energy from Jenner’s recent summer of highly visible brand moments. Between reviving the legendary King Kylie for a very pink Dunkin’ collaboration and appearing in the glossy world of her eponymous label KHY, privacy has not exactly been the dominant aesthetic. ALO, however, is interested in the opposite proposition: what happens when the cameras are theoretically off.

“Some of the most meaningful parts of my life happen when no one’s watching,” Jenner says. “Those moments of stillness are what help me feel grounded and present, and I’ve learned to protect them. That’s what I love about this campaign – it reminds us that taking care of yourself starts with making space for the things that are yours alone.”

Shot once again in Los Angeles by Mert & Marcus, the campaign presents Jenner in a more stripped-back setting. It’s not exactly an undercover operation either — this is still Kylie Jenner, after all — but the mood is intentionally more about finding a little breathing room away from the public eye.

The campaign also introduces ALO’s latest colour drop, Pink Marshmallow, because even the wellness wardrobe has decided it would like dessert. Jenner wears the new Alosoft Intuition Bra and High-Waist Intuition Capri in the soft pink heathered shade, alongside a rotation of the brand’s signature pieces including the Sunset Sneaker, Prismatic Jacket and High-Waist Prismatic Short, Splendor Bra, Aspire Tank, Alosoft Better Together Bra and High-Waist 7/8 Better Together Legging. Elsewhere, the Airlift Intrigue Bra and High-Waist Airlift Short bring ALO’s more performance-focused fabric into the mix, while the Sway Full Zip Hoodie offers the obvious solution for anyone whose personal wellness journey occasionally involves cancelling plans and laying down.

The wellness giant is no stranger to featuring the Kardashian-Jenner family members in its campaigns. Just last year, her older sister Kendall Jenner fronted the brand’s ‘Luxury Is Wellness’ campaign, while more recently ALO has continued building an increasingly high-fashion visual world around its studio-to-street identity.

Of course, even Kylie Jenner cannot disappear completely – she can, however, wear a very good matching set, find five quiet minutes and remind the rest of us that not every moment needs to become content.
