Louis Vuitton has decided that a century-old flower, first dreamt up by Gaston-Louis Vuitton in 1896, deserves a futuristic upgrade. The LV Diamonds collection is growing with four new technical pieces that turn the historic Monogram into a structural light show.
This expansion departs from the traditional 57-facet brilliant cut, opting instead for a patented 53-facet design called the LV Monogram Star cut. Developing this shape took years of research because the symmetry of the four-pointed star petals requires a level of precision that few artisans can achieve. Only the most exceptional rough stones are chosen for this task, as the cut exposes any flaw that might otherwise stay hidden.
Since its debut in 2022, the range has focused on redefining sentimental jewellery through the lens of the House’s most iconic motifs. The new lineup introduces a single hoop, a pair of hoops and a white gold ear cuff designed for the daily rotation. These are joined by a double ring featuring a diamond-paved Monogram Flower and a round-cut diamond, creating a visual link to the House’s historic pendants.

Every piece uses noble metals like platinum and white gold to provide a lasting foundation for the stones. For instance, the single hoop and the ear cuff both feature 0.30-carat LV Monogram Star cut diamonds, offering a contemporary edge to rather classic pieces. Similarly, the larger hoops, set with 1.00-carat diamonds, provide a more substantial interpretation of the star motif, catching the light with every movement.
Transparency is the defining feature of this update. Each diamond comes with a digital certificate from the Aura Blockchain Consortium, which acts as a permanent passport for the gem, allowing the owner to trace its entire trajectory. Scanning the certificate reveals the country of origin and even includes a photograph of the original uncut stone. This provides a direct look at the craft involved in taking a raw mineral from the earth and turning it into a polished star. The GIA-standard assessment ensures that the quality remains beyond reproach.
