For Kim Jones’ Spring/Summer 2021 Couture debut for FENDI, a new visual language was explored. Today, we get to explore that language further through a beautiful capsule collection — one that captures the spirit and emotional core of the season and adapts it to ready-to-wear pieces. However, this capsule will only be available for a limited time, in limited quantities and in limited locations. Their two week period of availability begins with the pieces’ debut in select stores around the world on 15th April.

This season offered motifs of fluid androgyny with romantic undertones, themes that carry over into this capsule. Timeless elegance is on full display, offering an homage to the British spirit of design while honouring Italian glamour. For the former, the house looked to the Bloomsbury set and Virginia Woolf’s seminal binary-blurring novel Orlando, influences that infused the collection with a creativity and warmth felt in every piece. For the Italian influence, the house looked to Roman grandeur, elevating each piece with a larger-than-life energy.

The capsule collection includes several designs translated from the Couture SS21 collection into ready-to-wear, including special iterations of the Baguette and Peekaboo bag styles alongside limited edition shoes and jewellery.
