Jon Chu’s film adaptation of the musical Wicked has been out in theatres for nearly three weeks and has broken countless records, including the highest-grossing Broadway musical movie at the box office, inching towards the $500 million mark. Starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, the casting contains a web of invisible strings between the actors and their characters.
