Soho House Health Club Berlin.

The hardest part of a gym session might be leaving before you have made it to the sauna. Soho House Berlin seems to understand the appeal, having refreshed its Soho Health Club with a new line-up of training equipment, reformer Pilates, recovery facilities and a juice bar that gives you somewhere to contemplate your life choices after leg day.

For context, Soho House Berlin opened in 2010 in a Grade II-listed former Bauhaus building in Mitte, with 1970s-inspired interiors, a rooftop pool, Cowshed spa, hammam and Cecconi’s restaurant among its established features.

The gym floor has been upgraded with Technogym cardio and strength machines, while a BLK BOX rig and turf area cater to functional training and hybrid workouts. Concept2 endurance equipment adds another option for those who prefer their workouts measured in metres and minutes, while six reformer beds introduce a dedicated pilates offering. Two class studios round out the facilities, giving members room to switch between strength work, conditioning and mobility without having to squeeze everything into one corner.

The class schedule is equally varied, including just about everything you can imagine. ATHX sessions, developed in collaboration with Adidas, sit alongside HIIT, calisthenics and Reformer Pilates, with Barre Sculpt, yoga and other hybrid classes also on the programme. Members looking for a more individual approach can book private pilates, personal training or small-group coaching. One studio comes with views of the Berliner Fernsehturm, the famous television tower, so there is at least something interesting to look at between sets.

After the workout, a dedicated recovery area offers room to stretch, mobilise and catch your breath, while the shared sauna, steam room and traditional hammam give members several ways to wind down. The idea is to treat recovery as part of the routine, instead of the thing you promise yourself you will do once the soreness has already arrived.

At reception, a tile-clad juice bar serves Soho Health Club smoothies designed for different stages of a workout, from pre-training energy to post-session recovery. There is also a retail corner stocked with Cowshed products and wellness names including Adidas, Ancient + Brave and SkinCeuticals, alongside supplements and other fitness essentials.

The refreshed Health Club adds another reason to spend a little longer at the House, whether the plan is an early session before work or Pilates followed by an unapologetically leisurely afternoon.

In Bang & Olufsen’s illustrated world, a red speaker changes hands, a turntable sets the scene for a living-room lounge session, and familiar audio companions find their way into new homes. Behind these distinctive drawings is Chinese animator and illustrator Jiatong Liu, whose storybook imagery frames electronic restoration as a natural, emotional journey. Rendered in washes of blue, with flashes of red drawing the eye towards the products, the illustrations for ‘Reloved’, the brand’s certified pre-owned programme, invite us to keep good design in circulation. Now, the Danish audio house is taking the programme beyond its online shop, bringing certified pre-owned pieces to selected stores across Europe.

“Reloved is about looking forward as much as it is about preserving what we have created,” says Dorte Vestergaard, Head of Reloved at Bang & Olufsen. “We want to give more of our products the opportunity to continue their story into new homes.”

The expansion means visitors can browse an evolving selection of refurbished Bang & Olufsen originals in person, with monthly online drops continuing alongside the new retail offering. Previous releases have included the Beogram 5500 and Beogram 2000 turntables, as well as the compact Beoplay P2 portable speaker, giving collectors and curious newcomers the chance to discover older designs without trawling the second-hand market themselves. Currently available products include the ultra-lightweight Beosound A1 2nd Gen portable speaker and the compact Beoplay M3 wireless speaker, alongside legendary heritage designs like the 1985 Form 2 headphones.

Each ‘Reloved’ product goes through an inspection, refurbishment and certification process before finding its next owner. Pieces are graded ‘Mint’, ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’ according to their cosmetic condition, with a warranty of up to three years offering extra reassurance. In other words, a few signs of a previous life need not be a deal-breaker, especially when the engineering has been checked by the people who know the product best.

There is also a new way to join the cycle: at participating stores, customers can exchange eligible Bang & Olufsen products towards the purchase of something new. The returned item is then assessed, refurbished and certified before being offered to another buyer, creating a route from one owner to the next without sending a perfectly serviceable piece of audio equipment into retirement.

Since 1925, Bang & Olufsen has built its reputation on pairing audio technology with distinctive industrial design, creating speakers, turntables and other electronics that can hold their own as part of an interior. ‘Reloved’ extends that thinking beyond the first purchase, giving older pieces another audience and making the hunt for a design classic a little less dependent on luck.

Megan Thee Stallion has never been one to skip leg day, and now she’s bringing her ‘Hot Girl’ philosophy to the gym floor. The three-time Grammy Award winner has joined Gymshark as the activewear brand’s first-ever celebrity ambassador, fronting a new global campaign titled ‘Megan Does Gym’ that puts her own training routine, discipline and confidence centre stage. Consider it a new chapter for Thee Hot Girl Coach, with fewer microphones and a lot more dumbbells.

Shot by Jack Bridgland, the campaign sees Megan working out alongside women from Gymshark’s network, lifting weights and flexing muscles while looking flawless in their gym wear. The partnership forms part of the brand’s ‘We Do Gym’ platform, encouraging its community — including Megan’s famously devoted Hotties — to find a fitness routine that works for them and keep showing up, even when motivation decides to take the day off.

Megan’s own approach moves between Pilates, HIIT and weight training, with medicine ball exercises, squats and donkey kicks all part of the mix. The latter have earned her own name: ‘Stallion Kicks’. “Fitness has become such an important part of my life, so I’m really excited to partner with Gymshark,” she says. “I’m a big believer that working out has a powerful impact on your physical and mental health and it’s just one of the best forms of self-love and building confidence.”
