The wind-battered volcanic rocks of Pantelleria, Giorgio Armani’s long-cherished retreat, are the backdrop for a new collaboration between two brands that understand the language of longevity. Emporio Armani and Our Legacy Work Shop have come together once again, this time with something new in the frame: womenswear.
This latest Spring/Summer 2025 offering is a meditation on permanence; clothes not chasing trends, but echoing eras. As Giorgio Armani himself puts it, “I love things that age well – things that don’t date, that stand the test of time both in terms of durability and wearability.” That ethos sits at the core of this collection, which draws deep from the Emporio Armani archive and reinterprets it through the distinctive, subversive eye of Our Legacy Work Shop.
The collaboration is built around fabric and memory. Original Armani textiles and trims are reworked into contemporary silhouettes, while others are entirely reborn — vintage materials reengineered by Our Legacy for this project alone. “To design within the boundaries of what already exists is a challenge – but also an opportunity,” says Cristopher Nying, creative director of Our Legacy. “These fabrics carry history. Seeing them return in a new form made the entire process unexpectedly rewarding.”

What emerges is an aesthetic both studied and spontaneous. You’ll find faint whispers of East Asian tailoring, which is a nod that appears in the collarless cut of the Sciovolo Shirt, the subtle lining of the Ampolla Blazer, and the robe-like Toga Coat, which takes structural cues from the kimono. These elements are blended with an air of hotel-luxury ease: bathrobe shapes, slipper references, and the slow, golden feel of a summer in no particular hurry.
And yes, the cat is back. A mascot of sorts from their first collaboration, it prowls through select prints and turns up on a charming, unexpected detail: a custom deck of playing cards made by Our Legacy Work Shop and Emporio Armani. The ultimate companion for leisure, whether in a villa, a hotel, or simply wherever the summer takes you.
The collection serves as a conversation between generations, between Milan and Stockholm, between restraint and experimentation. Work Shop, Our Legacy’s conceptual playground, brings its deconstructive approach to the precise elegance of Emporio Armani, a brand often described as a “container” for Armani’s ever-evolving vision. Together, they craft garments that feel both new and familiar, like something you inherited, yet somehow never owned before. It’s the kind of clothing that doesn’t just dress you; it stays with you.
