This Schön! editorial explores the loaded question: “Where are you from?” It’s one that evokes a myriad of feelings, experiences, meanings, and thoughts unique to each individual. It requires a level of nuance and understanding. Captured by photographer waxxwork in collaboration with stylist Rishy Malik, displaced is born out of the experiences of growing up in “the west” as people of colour; a series exploring themes of identity, heritage and feelings of displacement. It serves as a powerful celebration of the different lives and pathways navigated. Featuring models Shailan Gohil, Christall Reign Quinto, Emilia Boateng, and Sui Donavon , with music by Yumna Black.
