Hiking out to the headlands with a velvet-mesh acoustic orb clipped to your pack is easily the coolest way to soundtrack your travels this season, and thanks to Devialet, everyone can experience exactly that. The French acoustic pioneer has officially stepped into the techwear movement, revealing a highly anticipated, limited-edition capsule of its signature portable speaker.
The brand has been experimenting with creative outer shells for its sphere since its 2022 debut, previously leaning into desert-hued palettes like Sandstorm and Sunset Rose, alongside a gilded 24-karat gold Opéra de Paris tribute. Now shifting direction, the ‘Devialet Mania Exclusive Collection’ captures a distinct spirit of modern exploration by merging high-performance outdoor functionality with sharp urban style, marking the house’s first serious plunge into the functional gorpcore subculture.
The visual overhaul centres on two heavily saturated colourways built to mirror the raw environments of remote national parks. Choosing the Moss Green edition delivers a deep khaki-toned acoustic mesh body, balanced by an integrated handle and woofer that pop in an electric acid yellow. Moving to a different landscape entirely, the Rose Bloom alternative wraps the spherical shell in a dusky powder-pink texture, offset by an incandescent red trim and a scorched orange handle. Every variant twists traditional branding by cutting and skewing the signature logo into a completely deconstructed, asymmetrical typographic layout stamped directly onto the side fabric panels.

Carrying the orb around into actual wilderness is backed up by its own custom Cocoon case. Devialet upgraded the protective carrier with utilitarian mountaineering details, featuring a wide nylon strap paired with one fixed and one removable climbing carabiner, letting you instantly clip the device onto heavy outerwear loops or tactical backpacks.
The inner tech retains the heavy-duty engineering that made the brand a Place Vendôme staple. The sphere packs a 360-degree cross-stereo architecture driven by four full-range drivers and two bass drivers arranged in a back-to-back, push-push configuration to keep the body from vibrating on rough terrains. To deliver immersive fidelity across any landscape, the software integrates two proprietary technologies: Active Stereo Calibration (ASC), which uses four internal microphones to detect the speaker’s physical position and automatically sculpt the audio rendering in real time, and Speaker Active Matching (SAM®) for pure acoustic precision from low bass to high frequencies.

The smart ecosystem is rounded off by built-in Alexa voice assistance, extensive connectivity options – including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect – and an IPX4 splash-resistance rating. Offering up to 10 hours of continuous battery life, the collection treats the great outdoors as a personal acoustic playground.
The Moss Green variant is available exclusively online and across brick-and-mortar Devialet boutiques, while the Rose Bloom edition can also be sourced through a wider network of authorised global retailers. Discover more here.
