From scent to stone, Chanel continues to evolve its most iconic number. With Collection N°5, the house transforms its emblematic fragrance into a fine jewellery line — minimalist at first glance, but layered with symbolism and technical savoir-faire. In Chanel’s hands, the simple diamond line becomes something more sculptural, more coded, more alive.
The new collection follows the path set by the 2021 launch of the 55.55 necklace, a one-of-a-kind high jewellery piece created to mark 100 years of N°5. That necklace — anchored by a 55.55-carat diamond cut to mirror the perfume bottle — was never meant to be replicated. Collection N°5 extends that idea into a wearable bold series of necklaces, bracelets, rings and bangles, each one stamped with the energy of Gabrielle Chanel’s lucky number.
The silhouettes are sharp and structured, balancing sensual drop shapes with clean lines. At the centre of each necklace is the number 5, entirely pavé-set in diamonds, cradling a GIA-certified 0.30 carat diamond in a closed setting — a house signature dating back to 1932, when Gabrielle Chanel first introduced Bijoux de Diamants, her only high jewellery collection. The shape of the number isn’t arbitrary: its graphic precision mirrors the architectural lines of the original perfume bottle. Even the bevelled edges have been polished to echo its faceted glass.
The necklaces are available in white, yellow and Chanel’s proprietary beige gold, and can be worn short or styled close to the neck as a choker. Matching bracelets repeat the motif, with hidden clasps embedded inside the number 5 — a detail modelled on the iconic clasp of the 2.55 handbag. The result is seamless, both visually and mechanically. Elsewhere in the collection, a bangle, ring and single earring (all in yellow gold) offer a more sculptural take. Their curves and mirror-like polish draw out the golden hue of N°5 itself, making the collection a full-circle tribute to both the scent and the woman behind it.
Collection N°5 plays into a broader legacy of transformation at Chanel — of taking familiar codes and giving them new meaning. Whether it’s the bottle, the clasp, the lucky number or the sparkle of a single stone, each element feels considered. In that way, the collection doesn’t just reference N°5 — it becomes it.
Over 90 years since Chanel first brought diamonds into her vision of femininity, Collection N°5 proves that the house still knows how to turn a classic into something that feels daring and completely of the moment.
