burberry x hunza g | the 2026 swimwear collection

British coastal weather rarely cooperates with a traditional bikini, so Burberry and Hunza G have combined their weather-beaten sensibilities for a new swimwear capsule collection. Daniel Lee continues his pursuit of functional Britishness by adopting the textured, body-sculpting magic of a label that has moved from 1980s cult status to a modern poolside essential.

“There’s a natural connection between Burberry and Hunza G as British brands,” says Lee. “Our approach to material and craft is shaped by a relationship to the elements – pieces you can wear in and out of the water.”

Central to the collection is the Original Crinkle™ fabric, a material composed of over nine million stitches per garment that manages to support and sculpt almost any silhouette without losing its architectural integrity. Four recognisable shapes, including the Faye, Tyler, Domino and Devyn, form the foundation of the range. Minimalist cuts adopt a heritage-inspired palette of black, white, metallic cocoa and red, while the Burberry Check appears as a trim on swimsuits and bikinis.

Versatility drives the addition of a multifunctional swim skirt and tube top, designed to move from Atlantic waves to a city lunch without a change of clothes. A playful seahorse motif reimagines the Burberry Knight for aquatic environments, finished with the B shield and a banner bearing Hunza G lettering. But the cherry on top is the matching scrunchie included with every piece – a playful tribute to the original Hunza brand’s 1980s roots.

‘Hunza G has always been about making women feel their most confident. Bringing that together with the heritage of Burberry felt natural,” says Georgiana Huddart, Hunza G founder and Creative Director.

Ryan McGinley captures this spirit of adventure in a campaign featuring British actress Simone Ashley and model Alva Claire, showcasing the fabric’s ability to move with the body in idyllic coastal settings. Combining 40 years of swimwear design with over a century of British craftsmanship, the collection creates a range that handles the elements with a sense of effortless authority.
