It’s no small feat to capture the soul of a city like Los Angeles. Yet, for Autumn-Winter 2025, Mike Amiri doesn’t just nod to Hollywood’s iconic charm — he builds an entire universe around it. Stepping into Club AMIRI, a reimagined cinematic lounge bar, the runway became a vibrant love letter to the city that dreams in technicolour and reinvents itself under every sunset. “Hollywood is where you go to dream,” Amiri said. “This collection is a celebration of the city I call home — filled with optimism, dreams, and love.”
For the first time, AMIRI’s menswear and womenswear shared the stage, fusing their energy into an oxymoronic narrative of polished rebellion and relaxed elegance. The collection exuded an intoxicating blend of nostalgia and modernity, rooted in the late ’60s and early ’70s but reframed through a contemporary lens.
Tailoring was the star of the show — slick, precise, and unapologetically bold. Tuxedos weren’t just for men, as the AMIRI woman walked with undeniable presence in ties, sharp lapels, and bias-cut evening gowns that glided with an air of effortless power. Crystal embellishments danced on fine wools, merino knits sparkled with lurex, and leather — smooth or exotic — caught the light in a way that demanded attention. The palette echoed Hollywood after dark: merlot, espresso, mint, and gilt tones that seemed to shimmer under imagined marquee lights.
Drawing inspiration from legendary Hollywood haunts like the Formosa Café and Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the collection wove the city’s multicultural essence into every detail. Rich jacquards, Art Deco-inspired eyewear, and golden roses dipped in 24-karat gold adorned lapels and handbags, elevating the looks into pieces of wearable storytelling.
The accessories, a highlight in their own right, expanded the AMIRI narrative. Women’s East-West clutches and gilded jewellery-like eyewear added layers of intrigue, as though each piece belonged to a star of their own silver-screen saga.
