In the fashion world, collections that result from collaborations between different brands and designers are both celebrated and greatly anticipated. The newest collaboration between fashion accessories brand Folli Follie and Kids Company, a leading UK charity founded in 1996, is no exception.
Adopting the charity’s mantra “Love is all it takes”, Folli Follie has decided to create an exclusive Kids Company collection. Heart4Heart, the brand’s most important collection, has been re-worked for this very special limited line, which is comprised of two watches, two bracelets and a necklace, and some of Folli Follie’s most iconic pieces have been reinterpreted in the charity’s signature colour – bright pink. Featuring the signature interlocking heart motif, each piece will also display the Kids Company logo and 25% of the sales will be donated directly to the charity.
Kids Company’s aim, that Folli Follie are helping to achieve, is to provide help, both practical and emotional, to vulnerable inner-city children in London. As Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder of the charity, said, the collection will help them to “continue to offer a lifeline to our children, many of whom have suffered from unimaginable trauma.” Ketty Koutsolioutsos, Folli Follie Group’s Vice President hopes that “with our support they may continue to have a positive and profound impact on thousands of children and young people every year.”
Having seen the stunning pieces that make up this exclusive collection, there is absolutely no doubt that Folli Follie are going to realise that hope.
The Exclusive Heart4Heart Collection by Folli Follie for Kids Company will be sold from November 2012 in all UK Folli Follie stores and online.
