From sculptural hairstyles that challenge identity to silhouettes cocooned in contradictions, this Schön! 48 editorial dissects beauty through a distorted lens. Here, the mind’s well-being is not serenity but curiosity, audacity, and transformation. Photographer and creative director Mazen Abusrour crafts each frame as cryptic, deliberate, and saturated with intent. The body becomes a site of tension: wrapped, obscured, elongated. Hair by Alireza Mousavi is morphed into a veil, a sculpture, a weapon. Faces painted by artist Sophie Leach become canvas, geometry, or ghost, suggesting stories untold rather than explained. Beauty, as envisioned here, is neither passive nor prescriptive; it is composed by force of goodwill.
