Admit One by Saga Sig/
In ‘Admit One’ photographer Saga Sig captures the crux of legendary movie characters in a modern day twist. We start with Rachael from ‘Blade Runner’ who takes on the tough essence of her famous quote “I’m not in the business…I am the business” in a black leather constructed dress by PPQ clad with a high collar and spiked enclosure. Mia Wallace from ‘Pulp Fiction’ also exudes a modern take on Uma Thurman’s character with pink hair, the classic painted on lip and sexy pose capturing her persona. Moving through this shoot is like attending multiple cinema shows in one swoop as we meet Veronica from ‘Heathers,’ Andrew Clark from ‘Breakfast Club,’ Padmé Amidala from Star Wars and finishing off with Lila Crane from ‘Physco.’ Styled by Anna Trevelvan in designs by Gucci, House on Holland, New Era, McQ and Lacoste, the cinematic feel of this shoot is captured in style.

Julie Newmar/
If there’s one thing Julie Newmar doesn’t do…well it doesn’t seem that this statement can even be made, as this actress, model, businesswoman and dancer has done and conquered seemingly any trade she has pursued. Not only has she starred in dozens of movies and television shows, she has a Steven Spielberg movie named after her, was the original Catwoman in the “Batman” television series and has fiscally-insured legs for $10 million. Even after the birth of her son, Newmar continues to pursue a career as a model in her 60s and does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Control by Alisha Goldstein/
Model Samantha Gradoville takes ‘Control’ in a photo spread of metallic sensuality that oozes with intense black and radiant gold colours. Photographer Alisha Goldstein captures the essence of the ‘femme fatale’ through carnal postures and settings to entice the viewer. Stylist Brett Bailey adds to the allurement with weighted metallic dresses that seem to drip off Gradoville, and make up artist Riku Campo paints her eyes with a metallic shine that appears statuesque. Overall, this fashion editorial will have Schön! 18 readers captivated with command.

What’s your name…/
Show business can be a very dirty yet sexy place. No one knows this better than the people who are a part of it. In the ‘Director’ editorial by American photographer Columbine Goldsmith, the director gets down and dirty with some of the men and women working in the industry, asking them personal questions as they pose in beautiful dresses, corsets, tops, skirts, trousers and lingerie by Vivienne Westwood, Louis Vuitton, Gaurav Gupta, Alpana Neeraj, Calvin Klein, Emporio Armani, Diesel Black Gold, BCBG Max Azria and Oscar de la Renta. To complete their looks, fashion stylist Brett Bailey adds accessories by Christian Dior, Swarovski, Jeremy Scott and PRB Studio to the mix.

Root: By Name and Nature/
Mike Furey got the inside scoop on Jed Root, owner of famed artist agency Jed Root, Inc., and his success with transforming his agency from a small operation in his former East Village apartment to an international boutique firm. Representing such young artists as Brett Bailey, Damon Baker and Luke Abby, Root embraces technology to promote and showcase his latest expenditures, while managing a very multidimensional company which incorporates photography, fashion, make up, illustration, etc. From having sung backup for a B-52s song to embracing the darker side of ‘70s music, Root works with fresh faces to bring a new world of artistry into the light.

Pro********* by Danielle DeFoe/
Photographer Danielle DeFoe makes the squalid world of ‘Pro*********’ glamourous in her fashion editorial for Schön! 18. The theme is further executed with scenes of uncanny females displaying negligence and seduction in dimly lit environments. Styled by Brett Bailey, the models strike an attitude of mysterious couture with silky-smooth garments by Miu Miu, tailored suits from Dsquared2 and Gucci, Diane Von Furstenberg and Christian Dior providing looks as well. Perhaps the most intriguing item of clothing in this spread are the clear booties that second as goldfish bowls by Maison Martin Margiela, which pulls the shoot together and creates a clear element of allure.

Azealia Banks/
If there were ever an artist to push the limits of hip-hop’s image and lingo, sassy rapper Azealia Banks is the rising star to instill a whole new idea of the rudimentary and fearless beats to come. The 21-year-old Harlem native has grown up with an intense passion to perform and to have the freedom to make her own mistakes and instill an upbeat take on her life experiences through music. Don’t let her age fool you, this potty-mouthed firecracker is sure to continually surprise the world of hip-hop, with her next expenditure being the release of her raunchy album Broke with Expensive Taste.
