Within walking distance you’ll find another Frieze experience – Frieze Masters 2013. The new fair, launched last year, is housed in a bespoke structure, designed by Selldorf Architects and showcases a contemporary perspective on historical art. Interestingly choosing to only feature art made before the year 2000, the unique art fair includes work ranging from the ancient era and old masters, to the late 20th century. Also included is a curated selection of works advised by Adriano Pedrosa titled ‘Spotlight’. The Spotlight collection will be dedicated to solo artist presentations of work made in the 20th century.

In keeping with Frieze’s trademark dedication to creating dialogue within art, visitors will be privy to Frieze Masters Talks, a programme of conversations and talks by contemporary artists, discussing the historical works that inspire what they do. As if that was not enough, alongside the rest of the festivities you’ll find the sculpture park featuring pieces by established and emerging artists. The sculpture park is free to the public and located in the beautiful surroundings of the English garden.

Frieze London and Masters will be open from 17th – 20th October 2013. Tickets are limited.
