With minimal and classic designs, as well as with great attention to quality, accessories label AMBEREBMA is particularly innovative. With a respect for tradition and for Italian craftsmanship, only the best quality leather is used in order to produce bags which will become an investment piece. AMBEREBMA specifically works against mass-market production methods, designing in Utrecht, in the Netherlands, and manufacturing all the leather goods in Tuscany. Founded in 2012, the designs of AMBEREBMA are simple and made for easy use, with sturdy structures which withstand the test of time.
Inspirations behind the brand include amber, the fossilized gems, which embody the durability of the designs. Alaistar Crowley, a magician from the late 19th century, which the designer discovered through her favourite band, The Beatles, also is a source of inspiration. Famous for carrying out actions backwards, such as walking and listening to music, Crowley developed a method to “see the future”. This visionary practice is something that AMBEREBMA wishes to reinterpret, offering a vision of time through her designs which emulate Crowley’s ingenious device.

One of the key considerations when designing is the texture and patterns of the leather. As touch is one of the fundamental ways in which humans interact, the materiality, quality and texture of the leather is crucial in determining the design process of AMBEREBMA. For the collection, Jacomijn van der Donk, an jeweler based in the Netherlands, and her daughter Layla, modelled for the pieces.
